Orgasm Control: On Giving You Everything by Giving You Nothing

Orgasm control is the practice I return to most reliably — not because it is the most extreme thing I do, but because it is the most revealing. Remove someone's ability to come when they want, and you have removed something they did not know they were depending on. The scaffolding they built their sense of ease on, gone. What remains is bracing and clarifying in equal measure.

The neuroscience here is not complicated: orgasm is the most potent natural source of dopamine your body has regular access to. When I take that from you — or modulate it, control its frequency, decide its timing — I alter the basic rhythm of your neurological landscape. Attention sharpens. Sensitivity heightens. The small frustrations of ordinary life recede because they are not, actually, what concerns you right now. What concerns you right now is me. What I will allow. When I will allow it. Whether I will allow it at all.

That is not a small amount of power. I don't pretend otherwise.

The denial period — whether it is hours, days, or weeks — does something interesting to behavior. Things that submissives ordinarily have to be reminded to do begin to happen spontaneously. Thoughtfulness appears. Attentiveness appears. A quality of earnestness that is charming precisely because it is involuntary. The body, pursuing its biological objective through the only channels available to it, becomes diligent in service. I find this deeply amusing and genuinely useful.

The release, when I choose to grant it, is not simply the end of the exercise. It is its own precise act. I decide the conditions. I decide the manner. A full, generous release given as gift. A ruin, administered precisely at the wrong moment. Or nothing — because I have decided that the wanting is still more valuable than the having. You don't get to vote. That is, of course, the entire point.
